Prompt Generator ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Chrome extension.

Data You Provide

  • Prompts: The text you enter into the extension for improvement
  • User Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and profile information (name, profile picture) through Google OAuth

Automatically Collected Data

  • Usage Data: We may collect information about how you use the extension (e.g., when you improve prompts, save prompts to library)
  • Technical Data: Browser type, extension version, and error logs

How We Use Your Information

Prompt Improvement

Your prompts are sent to OpenAI API (via Supabase Edge Function) to generate improved versions. Improved prompts are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's local storage. Prompts are not stored on our servers unless you explicitly save them to your library.

Library Feature (Optional)

If you choose to save prompts to your library, the prompt text and optional name are stored in Supabase database. This data is associated with your Google email address. You can delete saved prompts at any time.

Data Storage and Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and stored securely. Local data is only accessible to the extension, and cloud data is protected by authentication.

Third-Party Services

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: View your saved prompts in the extension library
  • Delete: Delete individual prompts or clear all local data
  • Logout: Remove authentication and clear all associated data
  • Export: Copy your prompts at any time
